What are Atta Momos?

Another delicious variation of the traditional momo dish recipe is the atta momos. Essentially, the 'momo ki recipe' uses refined flour to create a thin wrapper for the momo, whereas here, we are set out to use wheat flour or atta. It is a simple swap, ensuring you can cook these at home efficiently with ingredients for making momo that are readily available to you. Sporting a delicate wrapper, dumplings are filled with a tasty momo-filling recipe consisting of chopped veggies, spices and/or a source of protein such as tofu or minced meat.

Cooking Tips for Atta Momos

  • Feel free to get creative with your momo stuffing recipe. Tofu, paneer, and minced chicken make great protein-based additions to the dish.

  • If you are hosting guests then you may line your momo dough recipe with edible flowers. Gently roll them while you create dough circles and voila!

  • If you do not have a steamer handy, you can always simply fry the momos or pan-fry them with a tablespoon of oil.

The process of making this momos recipe can often be a wholesome experience. The practice is easy as it is gentle. Grab your whole family and allow them to express their creativity at crafting one momo after another. You may create a whole game out of it. This makes sure you get delicious food and quality time with your loved ones by the end of it.
