RULES & REGULATIONS GOVERNING PARTICIPATION IN
“Aashirvaad Sambar Asal Suvai”
  1. Participation in this activity is purely voluntary.
  2. By participating in this activity, each participant is deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions, and the applicable terms and conditions governing “Aashirvaad Sambar Asal Suvai” (“ASAS”) as may be prescribed by Vijay Television Private Limited (“VTPL”).
  3. This Activity (which means the process of registration for a chance to qualify for the audition round to be the ‘Wild Card Contestant’ for ASAS) is open to all female Indian residents above 18 years of age as on the date of registration and is valid from 10th April, 2013 and ending on 10th June 2013.
  4. To participate in the Activity, the participant shall purchase either a 50g or 100g Aashirvaad Sambar Powder or Aashirvaad Rasam Powder packet with the ASAS offer, each of which contains a unique 7 digit Asal Suvai Code. The participant shall give a missed call to 08767687676, whereupon the number from which the participant gave a missed call shall receive an automated IVRS phone call, and be prompted to select their preferred language (English or Tamil), enter the Asal Suvai Code, answer three questions, and state in 15 seconds why the participant thinks she is the ‘Asal Suvai Rani’.
  5. Every valid registration/entry will be processed based on the number of questions answered correctly, and then qualitatively on the strength of the answer given to the question asked, and 20 participants will be shortlisted for the audition round to be a Wild Card Contestant on ASAS.
  6. Correctly answering all three questions is not an assurance of an entry into the Audition round for being a Wild Card Contestant on ASAS. ITC’s decision will be final regarding the 20 shortlisted participants.
  7. The 20 shortlisted participants shall be contacted personally by ITC, and be given a date/time and location for the audition round to be a Wild Card Contestant on ASAS.
  8. The 20 shortlisted participants will be required to retain the Aashirvaad Sambar Powder or Aashirvaad Rasam Powder packet with the unique 7 digit Asal Suvai Code that they entered, and be required to produce the same on request.
  9. ITC will not arrange for/bear any expenses relating to accommodation and transportation of the shortlisted participants to the location of the audition round.
  10. If any of the participants is unable to be in attendance on the prescribed date/time and location for the audition round, the entry will be considered as disqualified.
  11. The audition round will consist of cookery task(s) that will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by ITC, who will pick one of the shortlisted participants to be the Wild Card Contestant on ASAS. The decision of the panel/ITC is final and cannot be contested.
  12. The audition round for selection of the Wild Card Contestant on ASAS may be filmed, and any part of the filmed segments may be used on ASAS. The participants are deemed to have given permission for use of said footage on ASAS or any other media without any consideration in return.
  13. There can be only one valid entry/registration per unique 7 digit Asal Suvai Code.
  14. Multiple entries are allowed per participant, but only one per unique 7 digit Asal Suvai Code.
  15. The limited packs meant for participating in the activity are available in Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Puducherry only. Packs without this offer are also available in the market.
  16. Every valid entry only provides a chance to the purchaser to win an entry into the audition round for being a Wild Card Contestant on ASAS.
  17. ITC is not responsible for ensuring further progress into ASAS after selection of the winning participant after auditions to the Wild Card Contestant round of ASAS.
  18. ITC shall not be liable for incomplete/wrong entries.
  19. Employees of VTPL or any Group company, employees of the advertising agencies which has been appointed by the ITC, employees of the call centre engaged for this Competition, employees of the back end IT service provider, and also employees, agents, distributors of ITC, and employees of other main sponsors, and members of their immediate family are "excluded registrant(s)", by virtue of which they are not eligible to participate in this contest and in ASAS.
  20. Immediate family would mean include the respective spouse, children and parents of the employees, parents of the employees' spouse and siblings of the employees of the excluded registrants.
  21. Further, all those not conversant in Tamil and cannot read either English or Tamil are ineligible to enter the Competition. For clarification the Registrant(s) should be conversant in Tamil and should be able to read and understand either English or Tamil.
  22. ITC reserves the right to disqualify any participant from the contest at any time if he/she is found not satisfied/qualified with the eligibility criteria stated herein
  23. The decision of ITC will be final and binding with regard to any dispute arising out of this offer and is non-contestable. No correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
  24. ITC shall not be responsible for any participant being unable to complete her entry/registration after purchase of the pack due to any reason(s) beyond the control of the Company.
  25. ITC shall not be responsible for any malfunction/ server error/ technical fault of any kind either at the participant’s end or the call centre, which prevents the participant from completing her entry/registration.
  26. ITC shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or any other liability arising out of the offer.
  27. ITC reserves the right to cancel, modify, extend or withdraw the offer prematurely at its sole and absolute discretion.
  28. ITC shall not be liable for any loss, delay or damage due to Act of God, Governmental actions, other force majeure circumstances and shall not be liable to pay any amount as compensation, or otherwise, for any such loss, delay or damage.
  29. ITC reserves the right to cancel the Contest without prior notice due to business exigencies.
  30. All disputes relating to this activity shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Courts at Bengaluru.
